Appeal to the Kind hearted Public
Sub:  Seeking financial help.

1.To purchase own building in order to accommodate and continue the orphanage children’s home in its original place located at plot No. 63 Haritha enclave by purchasing  the building value of Rs.90 lakhs to 1 crore  license to run the home in the above building to valid up to 2022 obtained from the Government.
2.To purchase own building in order to accommodate and continue the old age home located at door No.63, Haritha enclave to run the home is valid till for another 3 years (31.12.2019).
Uthavum Ullam Public Charitable Trust
Original Trust Deed was executed on 15.11.1997 and registered at SRO Tambaram, Chennai Reg No: 16/98 dated 7-1-1998 by Late Thuraimuga Lakshmi as founder and managing trustee with the other trustees.
Aim and Motto
To run old age home and an orphanage for children like that of Mother Theresa old age home and Indira Gandhi orphanage for children.  Subsequently on 17-4-2006, the trust name was change as Uthavum Ullam and has been functioning for the last 20 years in the above address.
The above two home were started by late Smt.S.Lakshmi with the financial assistance of Tamil Nadu C.M Late MGR and Tamil Nadu Congress President late G.K Moopanar.
Both the above home are running at free of cost and functioning with the help of generous kind-hearted public.  
Indira Gandhi orphanage home for Children home approval from commissioner of social defense order no. 11358/D1/dated 13.10.2017 valid till 13.10.2022.
Activities /Objective:
1. To accommodate orphan children (Children without parents - belonging to poor family and abandoned by the family) are admitted on the basis of reference by the guardian and local police/child welfare committee. They are provided with all kind of hostel facilities like shelter, food, clothes, medical care and recreation. The home is giving education in reputed schools for their educational development, thereby settling life through jobs and marriages.The children are enrolled here without caste, creed and religious distinction. Uthavum Ullam is providing a stable, loving family atmosphere to these abandoned/neglected/orphan children. The children are studying in well-known schools in West/East Tambaram. Free evening tuition is conducted in the home by well qualified and experienced tutors. The children are raised to honor their culture and become contributing members of Indian society.    
For the past 20 years about 500 children were benefited and settled in their life (Both boys & girls).
1. One of our student namely R.Sarathkumar of our children home is presently completing his 5th year MBBS course at Karapaga vinayaga medical college,Chennai.
2.  A student namely R.Raja who was an inmate of our home after completing his 12 std studies continuing his graduation  study with all support  including shelter, food,clothes, educational fees, etc., by Shri.      C.Prabakaran the present Executive trustee .
Mother Theresa Old age Home
To accommodate old age senior citizens both male and female who are abandoned by their family/relative/society. License obtained from District Social Welfare officer, Kanchipuram for two years (31.12.2019).
Providing shelter,cot, quilt, pillows, Bed sheets,Hygienic food,Hot water facilities, Morning tea, Breakfast,Lunch,Evening tea with snacks,Night meals. According to the health condition and need by maintaining menu chart.
Medical facilities
Doctor with a nurse appointed on part time basis to attend periodical visit and emergency call.
Medical camps are arranged periodically from different medical colleges.
The above both home are running at different locations nearly to each other, in a rented building.
After the death of Smt. S. Lakshmi, the owners are on our neck and insisting to vacate these rented building. Hence we are in need of alternate accommodation to run the home in future.
All these past 20 years we have been running the home with the financial assistance of kind hearted public because of the homes charitable activities as mention above and personal influence of late Smt. Lakshmi aged 94 years.
We have been running with the help of kind hearted donors /Other public:

1. Shri. sambavath seva mandal and its allied trust.
2. Shri Sathya Sai Mandal.
3.Various Lions Club.
4. VyasarpadiVinayagaMudaliyarcharities,Mylapore.
5. Regular donors contribution provisions/groceries/Vegetables and day –to-day usable items.
6. Regular Milk supply by St.Joseph College, Chennai.
1. 500 children’s , both Boys & girls were benefited and settled in their life.
2. About 400 old age senior citizens/destitute were benefited.
In way of appreciation of our noble activities we got the following awards
a) Best home for senior citizens from State Govt.            
b) Palam award from Indian Medical Association.                            
c) Best children home award from MMA Ramasamy chettiyar trust.

Late Smt. Lakshmi attended various seminars /conference relating to home activities and delivered lectures. Times Of India have published an article appreciating the social services/activities of Smt. S. Lakshmi at the age of 92 years caring for 91 children/old age persons.
After the death of Smt.S.Lakshmi, a supplementary trust deed has been executed by including new trustees vide SRO Tambaram Reg no 62/18/IV of 1-8-2018 with the same objective/aim of the original deed.

Thus in order to purchase our own building exclusively in the name of UthavumUllam Trust To run both orphanage home for children as well as old age home we are seeking financial assistance through this appeal to kind hearted public.
This will be a noble cause to the coming generation of orphan children and destitute/abandoned old age persons who are increasing day by day.
