Why am I fundraising?

My 58 year old husband Umashankar was diagnosed with GBS (Guillain-Barre syndrome) on 18th August 2014. He is paralysed now. We were leading a very happy life until this news shattered our lives. My husband is not only affected by GBS but he is physically, mentally and financially exhausted. Only after 1 year of heavy physiotherapy, he is able to stand slowly. His growth and movement are very slow.

Guillain-Barre syndrome is a rare but serious autoimmune disorder in which the immune system attacks healthy nerve cells of the peripheral nervous system. This leads to weakness, numbness, and tingling, and can eventually cause paralysis. The cause of this condition is unknown, but it is typically triggered by infectious illnesses like the stomach flu or a lung infection. 

Doctor advised him to take long term regular physiotherapy and hydrotherapy. We have spent a lot and can't fight with the syndrome. 

What do I plan to do with the funds?

Long term GBS special physiotherapy and aquatherapy.
