The Hazaribagh district in north Jharkhand has 13 traditional villages which practice a diverse mural painting on village mud houses done by women artists that is done annually after monsoon and before Diwali for Sohrai harvest festival celebrated by various tribes and communities. The women artists require earth ochre colours and gift incentives to continue painting their houses, which we have been providing them for the past 4 years and have grown from 70 artists in 4 villages to now over 400 women artists who are carriers of this extraordinary mural art tradition. We require funds to make the purchase and delivery of the earth ochre colours and motivational gift incentives.
