I belong to a normal middle class family in Delhi. Since my childhood I have grown up seeing my grand father taking care of injured animals. He used to live in Punjab and was keeping around 40 injured dogs, cats and cows who met with some road accidents or are suffering from some disease inside his home and take care of all their medical and food needs even after not being that financially strong.
My Mother has spent all of her childhood in such environment and she used to love helping the needy animals. When she was in school she left her schooling for 3 years to take care of the animals and rejoined after that which I feel is a big sacrifice at that age.
Its been 15 years that we have started keeping sick, blind, paralysed birds inside our house whom would not have been able to survive outside and feed them and take care of their health. They are like our own children. Some of them got well and we sent them back to their world but some who couldn't survive outside become permanent part of our home.
We take care of feeding all the strays in our area and their sterlization , vaccinations and treatment in case of accidents and sickness.
In addition we keep some of the old strays in our basement area to give them safe and peaceful life at this age.
Currently we have more than 30 birds inside our house.

My personal future plans are to setup a separate area for sick and abandoned animals and to take care of them.
But my current focus is to help my parents at this age so that they can continue doing the great work they are into with ease and can also help more voiceless which they somehow cannot right now due to financial shortages.
Our current monthly expenses are as follow:
1. Stray food is approx 15 to 20 thousand
2. Animals treatment is around 5 to 10 K
3. Birds food and treatment is approx 5 to 10 K
I know I am stranger and you may find it difficult to have faith in me but we are really looking forward for your support so that we can extend our help and save more lives.
