Ravi’s son Thiruvasagam has been diagnosed with a blood disorder, the same that claimed his daughter’s life once. Thiru was only 3 months old when he was diagnosed with Thalassemia Major. As little Thiru is growing, the need for blood in his system increases. It scares his parents that he might tire himself out too soon.

As Thiru keeps growing he needs more blood, and the transfusions keep getting more frequent. It is now affecting his health. He is weak and tired most of the time, only able to do lesser and lesser each day.

Since there are no matching donors in the family, the procedure would cost INR 20 Lakh, an amount too huge for an ordinary social science teacher to arrange very soon.
