Scientists might have discovered more "Earth-like" planets, but there is only one earth and it is important to keep it alive.
Our planet is facing serious environmental hazards, which is increasing day by day. Many of them are man-made. In the post industrial era, it is necessary to keep a balance between the environment and development.
Both common and rare species and found billions of regional or local populations have been lost. They blame human overpopulation and overconsumption for the crisis and warn that it threatens the survival of human civilisation, with just a short window of time in which to act.
For any progressive action aiming a green globe, information and awareness are vital.
We, The Planet an independent, non-profit news outlet by a network of committed environmental journalists, are working toward a planet that doesn’t burn and a future that doesn’t suck. We believe climate, sustainability, social justice and green conflict are the most important stories to tell right now.

Operating from Kochi, currently, it has a small team and infra. The team desperately needs enough money to tell more stories which must be told. We are currently on a fundraising drive. Since we want to remain independent of any vested interests, our team has decided to go for crowd funding.
