Teach for India is a group of fellows teaching in government and low-income private schools in the under-privileged areas of Delhi.
Teach for India, work in under-resourced schools towards educational equity.
The kids from our school come from diverse backgrounds with a varied pace of learning. The schools lack in infrastructure, resources, exposure, and funds. All these factors contribute to low learning outcomes and further limiting their potential. These kids live in challenging environments with poor sanitation, unsafe areas, and fixed mindsets.
As fellows, it is our responsibility to make their surroundings learning and an engaging place to be around. We wish to inculcate a sense of curiosity and motivation among them, which they will carry with for the rest of their lives. Hence, TFI- MUN Delhi!
TFI- Model United Nations, Delhi envisions to generate leaders for tomorrow by providing students with the opportunity to explore their role as global citizens. They will become aware and sensitive to global concerns such as climate change, educational inequity, malnutrition etc. With this project, we will be providing students with a platform to critically think, analyze and express their opinions and find possible solutions. Subsequently, this will foster their understanding of the working of UN and different countries of the world thereby, building skills of diplomacy and compromise.
