Team Eureka is one of the campus winners of Hult Prize 2018, at Jadavpur University (Kolkata, India). The Hult Prize is the world's largest Social Entrepreneurship Case Challenge student competition, a joint venture by Hult International Business School and the Clinton Global Initiative. This year, the case challenge is "Harnessing The Power Of Energy", and our team has been successful in developing an idea and prototype to manufacture biochemicals by cultivating algae. Our idea has been acknowledged by many mentors and has also been selected by the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), for collaboration, with other startups. The next round of this competition, that is, the Hult Prize Regional Finals 2018 will be held at Kuala Lumpur, where our team will have to compete on the 16th and 17th of March, 2018.
However, for travel and accommodation expenses as well as carrying out pilot scale experiments to validate our model, we require financial assistance from you due to the unavailability of international funds in our University. We are a team of four, and have really worked day in and out to develop our idea and models from scratch, and are in dire need of assistance to be able to compete at Kuala Lumpur. Our idea symbolizes "Clean Green Technology" and if we can bring it to life, it has a potential to solve major environmental challenges that the world faces today such as carbon dioxide sequestration, waste water management, plastic recycling and so on. Further, we will be able to create employment opportunities for hundreds of unemployed rural people around our city. Your help will enable us to compete at the next level and reach out to mentors for assistance and investments. It is my earnest request to you all, to kindly help us as generously as you can. It is not much that we require, yet it is extremely essential for our dream of making this world a better one.
