I am here fundraising for Tauseef Ahmed, my colleague from Portea. He is 32- year-old, married and belongs to a lower middle class family. A great guy at work and his team loves to have him around. However, past 3 months have been nothing less than a struggle for Tauseef.
He was down with a fever and showed symptoms of indigestion. But what seemed to be routine fever aggravated when symptoms did not subside. After multiple tests and consults, it was confirmed that Tauseef has severe kidney damage and only a Kidney Transplant can save him.
But today, Tauseef barely afford his every medicines and dialysis let alone the costs of a surgery as crucial as this one. With dialysis every 4 days, there is no way he can afford this surgery.
He already gave up on a donor kidney due to lack of funds. Today, there is still hope with his mother as a match. However, he has been running pillar to post to get Government grants for his surgery. Being the only bread winner of the family, this hustle has not been easy on his weak body.
