TAPMI BATCH OF 1996 REUNION CAMPAIGN FOR EDUCATION

October 3 2016, marked the "Official Start" of the School Building Project as visualized by the TAPMI Batch of 96.
The Signing of the Agreement between the partners has been done. The Drawings have been finalised. The Negotiations have been completed.
Now all that is needed to make the "TAPMI Batch of 1996 Block (In fond memory of Rajiv Raman and K Y Vishwanathan)" a reality is the Contribution from the Batch.

The final plan based on the Contribution Commitment is to build 4 classrooms along with a toilet block at the Government School in Rajivnagar, Manipal.

We plan to start work right away - what better time or more auspicious time than the Festive Season to start on this Outstanding cause?
So now is the time to make the Donation that you promised. Click on the "DONATE" button and make your Donation.

We need to get funds collected by October 15 2016 to enable the first few payouts. (You know who to call if you have any problems or issues with the donation gateway.)

The sooner we begin the construction, the more confident we can be of seeing some of the Completed Block when we visit in December 2016.

So let's start the first phase of our Reunion. The fact that we are all Reuniting For A Cause..

Government Composite High School, Rajivnagara, Manipal
History: 2016 marked 20 years of the TAPMI Batch of 96 passing out from their Alma Mater T.A. Pai Management Institute. As part of these celebrations, the batch wanted to make their vision of “Providing “Education” support as a way of “Giving back” to the city that was the foundation of their career and life” a reality.
This Special project was initiated keeping in mind this objective of providing support to Government Schools in their effort to establish better standards of education and the Vision of the TAPMI Alumni Batch of 96. This project is also special as it is in memory of two of the TAPMI Batch of 96 students “Rajiv Raman” and “K Y Viswanathan” – who are no more with them.
India Cares enabled this EduDaan Project by the TAPMI 1996 Batch to provide Infrastructure support to the chosen school - Government Composite High School, Rajivnagara, Manipal. Round Table India - Round Table MCRT 190 Charity Trust, Mangalore also joined hands with the TAPMI Batch of 1996 to support this project as a part of their infrastructure project funding.
TAPMI Batch of 1996 raised Rs. 40,83,756 through individual and Corporate contributions.
After analysing the need in the Government School, and various discussions with the School Authorities and partners, it was decided to construct 3 classrooms and an auditorium on top of the current high school building. Additionally, a toilet block for Girls was also included in the plans.
Vishnu Constructions, recommended by Round Table MCRT was given the contract for construction. A renowned Architect of Manipal, Mr. Harish Pai of Red Earth Architects, volunteered to draw up the blueprints and monitor the work of the contractor.
