Hey there! My name is Tanisha and I am a commerce student.
I always wanted to contribute to the society and have an urge to learn more or to gain some experience.
Recently, I joined hamari Pahchan NGO as an intern and to be very honest I started enjoying every task that is give to us, I also came across various projects and initiatives of the NGO like drishti, skill development and covid-19 relief etc.
One of their project has greatly inspired me and I decided to become a part of it. 'SUKHAD' is the name of the project.
Sukhad project helps underprivileged women spend their periods comfortably with proper means and information by providing sanitary pads, educating them on proper menstrual hygiene and raising awareness that 'periods' and discussing them is not a taboo topic, but rather a normal method.
Hamari Pahchan NGO conducts weekly distribution drive.
During these drives, a 'sukhad kit' is distributed, which consists of pads, soap, disposal paper and other necessities.
Project sukhad is in desperate need of an hour, and we must all come together to help.
Per kit price: sukhad kit for one women = Rs 1400/-
Sukhad kits for 5 women = Rs 7000/-
Kit includes:
24 packets of sanitary pads
6 packets of soap
Disposable paper envelopes
