This sanctuary, my place, a sanctum for all, started off one day in 2014, like destiny always meant it to be. While I was cleaning my cow Dhanno’s shed, we had opened the back gate and I found day old puppies just outside my home. It had rained the previous night, they had been relocated and left away from their mother, I just had to take them in, this was my first. And I had to take them all in, one by one, whoever came. There was never a no, coz each one of them filled my life with love thats knows no definitions. Over the years, I found so much love, and lost my babies, due to lack of medical facilities and diagnostic anomalies in Mathura. I make efforts to connect with doctors outside Mathura but it does not always help due to no local help. Even if i do get a prescription the administration of medicines is not done correctly by local vets. I give them the best of food medicines and all the love that I can. I may have felt low, and disheartened but never ever giving up coz they love me.
We plan to hire an experienced paravet, someday in future, to cater to the health of our babies effectively. And start an internship program soon, to help with awareness and day-today activities.
You can help us with the treatment and care of our babies with a small contribution. Please donate and be our virtual angel.
We are collecting funds for the monthly salary and medical supplies (multivitamins, supplements, daily care and veterinary bills plus infrastructure, salaries and autofares).
Our Salaries are
1 Staff Member 24x 7 = 10000
1 Helper to clean the premises twice a day = 2000
1 Cook to make rotis or in his absence rotis are outsourced @ 2 INR per roti
Till date we have rescued about 110 animals, which inludes dogs cows and a hen, Kuku who was rescued on our meat shop vigil, when she was being played with, just about to go under the knife..
Since, we do not even have a handful of volunteers, it becomes difficult to rescue and transportation has to be paid by us, along with multiple visits to rescue.
We have made efforts to make people aware about equal animal rights and ending speciesism, wherein we conducted talk sessions in schools and colleges, munch meetups and vigils since our registration in November 2019.
