Trishika Roy Choudhury, a six-year-old bubbling bundle of joy of Subhajit and Dipa Roy Choudhury has been diagnosed with Systemic Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (SJIA) and Macrophage Activation Syndrome (MAS). 

She has been suffering since November 6, 2019. This rare disease can be a threat to her life if not treated properly and timely.

Trishika was leading a normal life of a six-year-old until she started getting frequent fevers and consequent stomach pain. Her parents have not left any stone unturned ever since. When her stomach got a swell at the end of November, she was rushed to ICH (Institute of Child Health, Kolkata). The doctors of ICH treated her as efficiently they could and referred her to The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh for further treatment.

The PIMER, Chandigarh, gave a new leash of hope by saying that an injection named ANAKINRA can save Trishika’s life. But, unfortunately, the ANAKINRA injection is not available in India and the cost to procure it from outside the country is a whopping 3-4 Lakh INR for next 2 Months. 

Trishika’s parents, Subhajit and Dipa, have started running pillar to post for arranging this hefty sum. The situation is getting grim day by day. From last 1 and half months they have already spent more than 3 lakhs for the treatments. 

Trishika is going to stay admitted in PIMER, Chandigarh for 30 more days. We are hoping against hope that a miracle is going to happen and she will get cured.
