Help My Father To undergo Liver Transplantation
Dear all,

Children learn to smile from their parents. But it becomes disheartening for a child to see his parents suffer from  severe disease. All of it started in March 2016,my father started losing weight and his stomach bulged out and he was unable  to walk.We started taking him to the doctors and a series of consultation began. As we live in Gorakhpur, proper treatment was not available here and therefore doctors referred us to PGI Lucknow , where he was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis and was treated accordingly.

My father is a teetotaler, yet he is suffering from such a horrible disease.Since October 2016, his condition has been deteriorating rapidly. He has been hospitalised for long stretches in the past 8 months about 5  times.Currently, he is admitted in Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences,Lucknow. His disease is “Liver Cirrhosis” which causes fluid accumulation in the stomach and feet. His liver is 75 percent damaged. Also ,his veins have dilated due to hypertension which is also consequence of liver cirrhosis. Apart from this,he is continuously losing blood. In the the past six Months he has undergone blood transfusion 15 times. The only long lasting  cure of this is Liver Transplantation.

Currently ,I am pursuing B.TECH from Harcourt butler Technical University, Kanpur. I have a younger sister who is in class 10th. My father is the only earning member of our family of four. Almost 30k is spent on his treatment every month and the cost of liver transplant is way beyond our reach. Our future solely depends on my father.

I have seen how Internet has changed people's lives .So, through the internet I thought of reaching out to every friend of mine for help. The operation is scheduled at the end of November,2017.I would be grateful for every little help that comes our way and that would restore my father back to his normal life
