Story

National Youth Project & Youth Skill Development Centre are jointly organising a five days national level programme “National Integration & Youth Leadership Camp 2020” at R B Memorial School, PMGSY Road, Munshipara, Salkumarhat, Alipurduar, West Bengal – 736204, India during 17th to 21st March 2020. National Integration Camp, Cultural Performances, Youth Dialogue, Sight Visit to Bhutan are part of the programme. 300 participants different states of India will participate in the event.
OBJECTIVES:
 To build and develop an environment which recognizes the special needs and promise of the youths in the country and provides for youth friendly services.
 To sensitize the stakeholders, i.e., parents, teachers, government functionaries, the media, the community, the youth as well as the youths themselves, about the needs, problems and promise of the latter through sustained awareness building and advocacy.
 To exchange of ideas and experiences and other appropriate activities.
 To provide the adolescents from different parts of the country and from diverse religious and cultural backgrounds common platform to interact with each other, know each other’s customs and life styles.
 To work together in community welfare and in the process make them aware of the underlying unity amidst diversity.
 By living together in a camp, albeit for a limited period, the youths would develop better understanding of different perceptions, beliefs, faiths and life styles, which in turn would strengthen a secular and eclectic outlooks on their part.
ACTIVITY:
 Group discussions, debates, lectures, essay and elocution competitions on the theme of national integration and communal harmony.
 Community work, construction of road, lake, sanitary and other rural need based activities with mass literacy, anti-drugs, anti-AIDS, health awareness and environmental campaigns or Global Warming and such other activities.
 Reading and learning from scripture of various religions and books which inspire the promotion of national integration.
 Spiritual discourses
 Yoga and meditation.
 Work- camps in which the youth donate manual labour to create durable community assets.
 Seminars, discussions and informal meetings.
 Cultural programmes & visit to place of historical, cultural importance and village visits.
 Interaction with the general publics and villagers.
 Village visits, hiking, trekking, Jaldapara National Park visit and Bhutan visit

Rs. 6,30,000 will be total expenditure of the event. Detailed breakup are:
1. Foods and Refreshment @ RS. 250/- per head x 5 days x 300 persons - Rs. 375000

2. Resource Person @ Rs.10000/-per head (10000 x 5) - Rs. 50000.00
3. Field visit to places of historical, cultural and developmental importance - Rs. 50000.00
4. Local Transportation - Rs. 20000.00
5. Writing reading material, etc. (@200 x 300) - Rs. 60000.00
6. Publicity, postage, sound system, documentation, video coverage, etc. - Rs. 30000.00
7. Gifts, Mementos and items for felicitation - Rs. 25000.00
8. Contingency - Rs.20000.00
