A few years earlier both were diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and were suggested for dialysis. At that time they were forced to quit money-earning jobs and care for their health. Kadur is a small town with limited health care facilities. Initially, for a few years, they traveled every week to Bangalore for dialysis.
When their health declined, dialysis was suggested 3 times a week. With no other option left, they relocated to Bangalore. They lost their mother soon and their father is the only beard earner in the family. They ended up spending most of their hard-earned money on medical and travel expenses. Their father LS Yoganarasimha(80), was a journalist and is retired now. Owing to his children's health he has been working as a priest to support the family even though he a super senior. Since the pandemic started, his earnings are almost nil and they are facing a mountain of trouble for availing medical support.
As of now, they undergo dialysis 3 times a week @ Rangadore Memorial Hospital, Basavanagudi, Bangalore. Both of them have been provided with some financial support from family and friends. But the burden of getting dialysis 3 times a week is too much and the aid they are getting is not sufficient. At times they do get free medicines, but not always.
Both the siblings were infected with coronavirus and struggled a lot. But with help of BBMP officials, they were given care at the Victoria hospital and now free of corona infection. Please support these siblings financially.
