As the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic continues to severely affect India, continuous lockdowns have been detrimental for marginalised communities. Loss of income and lack of access to resources has made daily survival very difficult. Women and children have been some of the worst affected.
This fundraiser aims to help women and children in Assam and Delhi who are struggling due to the pandemic. We are working with Small Wish Foundation and Light Up (Emotions Matter Foundation) to provide relief.

Small Wish Foundation is an India-based non-profit organization working to help children and women come out of poverty and solve the challenges of climate change. The money raised will go towards helping underprivileged and under-served women and children. SWI will use the funds to provide access to nutritious food to poor children suffering from hunger and severe malnutrition. They will also be giving unprivileged children who dropped out of school due to the Covid-19 pandemic the resources they need to study again. Additionally, they will help widowed mothers feed themselves and their children.

Light Up is a New Delhi-based non-profit organization, founded in 2017 that has been working with children from child care institutions, urban slums and the sex worker community through promotive and preventive work in social-emotional learning. The money raised will extend both short-term and long-term support for children belonging to the aforementioned communities. The funds will be utilised for Covid-19 SOS needs, mental health aid, education support and livelihood training.
