The COVID lockdown has been hard on all of us, especially destitute population, who have been on the streets and hungry owing to lack of income/ loss of jobs and farmers who have no channels to now sell their produce.
This fund raiser is a volunteer based campaign done by a passionate group of residents of Adarsh Palm Retreat in Bangalore. The main aim of the campaign is to address a two-fold problem:
1. During lock down the farmers are one among the worst-hit owing to disruptions in the erstwhile farmer- trades model. This has led to most farmers going into distress and either losing their produce or having to throw away produce harvested.
2. Destitute/ Below the Poverty Line population face the reverse issue of no access to any fresh produce or dry groceries owing to lockdown and loss of job.
Why are we raising funds?
Our Campaign aims to raise funds and help both the affected parties - the farmers of Chickmanglur who are in distress and sitting on produce unable to sell them and serving hot food to 800 destitute residents of White Doves Home in Mangalore
How do we plan to use the funds:
All funds generously donated by all of you, will be used to buy the produce from Chikmanglur farmers in distress and donate the same to the destitute home in Mangalore which will serve 3 hot meals to 800 homeless and BPL citizens. This is a win-win situation hence making your donations go the extra mile!
Kindly donate for this cause and help us volunteers to Help the Needy! Every dollar will go a long way in ensuring one hot meal for those who have had it most challenging to survive in these turbulent times!
We truly appreciate your effort and would be happy to provide appropriate updates on the fund utilisation to ensure that your generosity is applied appropriately and on time!
Thanks Much- & Stay Safe!
