I am Sarita and my husband Kalyan is a Ph.D. (Doctoral Student) at Hyderabad. His research work involves the testing of hydrocarbon fuels. He was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer (MEDIASTINAL LARGE B CELL LYMPHOMA) on February 25th,

He was not having any smoking or drinking habits and the doctors at Hyderabad have specified that since his work involves the testing of hydrocarbon fuels, the resulting fumes from high-temperature conditions could be the reason for forming of a golf-sized mass which is located in the left chest and the infection has spread to the Renal and abdominal systems through the bloodstream.

The doctors concluded that it was dormant for more than a year and got triggered recently. Due to this, he was having a plastic cover wrapping sound from the chest region while breathing from November-December 2021. Doctors have prescribed flu medicines for the same, but in the month of January 2022, we observed large lumps of around 5cm in size arising in the neck and underarms regions for which he was prescribed with decoagulants.

But in the second week of February, he had unbearable abdomen pain and re-emergence of plastic cover wrapping sounds coming out of his left side of the chest while breathing. Due to this, he was prescribed CBC, SONOGRAPHY & CT-CHEST (CONTRAST) PET SCAN, tests and scans.

The tests and diagnosis are listed below,
· Medical diagnosis of CT-CHEST (Contrast) conducted at KONNECT diagnosis center,

. Biopsy surgery was conducted at hospital Mumbai on 18-02-2022.

· FDG PET SCAN (whole-body scan) diagnosis was conducted at Hospital and Research Center (), Pune to determine the extent of the spread of cancer in the body on 21-02-2022.

All the diagnosis reports are enclosed. Currently, he is undergoing chemotherapy treatment at Hospital and Research Center, Pune. The chemotherapy is planned for 6 cycles and the estimated cost of chemotherapy, medicines, and casualty treatment is 9 lakhs.

He is the only earning member in our family, and I'm a homemaker. Last year, we have spent a significant portion of our savings on the treatment of my late mother-in-law who had a heart condition.

The doctors have assured complete recovery and healing through this treatment. It shall be helpful whatever contribution I can get from the kind donors.

Thanking you.

Yours sincerely,
Sarita.
