Recently the region of Saurashtra in Gujarat was severely hit by the cyclone Taukhtae. The district of Amreli in Saurashtra took the maximum impact. The village of Gadhiya falls in Amreli district. Here the loss to life and property is insurmountable. The main occupation of the villagers are farming and livestock rearing. All of these have been affected, with the loss of animal lives to entire fields being swept away. Most of the houses in this village have been destroyed. Adding to this is the current crisis of the pandemic.

I have a special connect to this village as my grandparents decided to spend their post retirement life here. This place has given me beautiful memories. So its time for me to give back, but I need your help in this. With the monsoon season soon approaching the situation will only worsen. Most of the funds collected will go towards rebuilding of the houses. Currently this region has no electricity, it will take time for them to get back on their feet.
