Vishal Sharma (my cousin) aged 28 is suffering from end stage Chronic Kidney failure of both the kidneys. He has been fighting with Kidney disease since 2016 at the time when he was searching for a job after his engineering. In 2017, his father Mr Ashok Sharma has donated his one Kidney but due to his father's age factor and unaffordable medical expenses post operation, Vishal started doing part time jobs due to which his transplanted kidney has again got infected.
He is currently on 3 dialysis per week and needs urgent kidney transplantation. He has now finally managed a Kidney donor after enormous paper correspondance and personal struggle since 2018. The cost of the pre-operation medical expenses, operation and post-medical expenses for recovery collectively goes to approx 18-20 lakhs. He belongs to a lower middle class and is unemployed. His father was working in a private company as a Helper and earning only 9500 bucks. But after Corona duration his father has not been called on his job again as he crossed 60. Thereafter, Vishal and his parents started living on rent at Ahmedabad for his treatment at IKDRC Hospital there. He has 3 elder married sisters who collectively bear his rent.
His operation was scheduled in the last week of February 2021 but due to non matching of last report among all the reports i.e. HLA Report of Donor's Kidney, the transplant got postponed. Afterwards, unluckily IKDRC Govt Hospital, Ahmedabad had refused to operate my brother's Vishal Kidney due to non matching of an HLA report of her donor sister. We were then compelled to switch to the Private hospitals for some hope. Finally, a Dr Siddharth Mawani at Shalby Hospital, Ahmedabad has agreed to transplant Kidney using an advanced Plasma Technology with very high expenses now. During all this process of finding a hope in private hospital, once suddenly Vishal's fistula in right hand through which dialysis is done has been stopped. Due to which Dr started his Dialysis through his neck. After 1 week he got infected due to the dialysis through neck and his condition became worst resulting in 2nd heart attack. He was then admitted in Shalby Hospital for 10 days which costed him more the 3.5 lakhs unexpectedly. In-between Dr Mavani who is gonna operate him has also suffered from Covid. God is really taking exam of Vishal by making him face countless obstacles in his operation. On recovery from Covid, Dr Mawani has started meetings with authorisation committee at Gandhinagar and demanded some documents for transplant formalities from Vishal & his donor sister for futher submission to Authorisation Committee. After struggling so much by visiting Govt Offices in the Lockdown period, finally all the documents have been submitted and authorisation committee has given their approval for Kidney Transplant on their final meeting on 16 Jul 21. Afterwards again unluckily, Vishal's Urinary bladder got contracted which took more than a month to get into its normal condition. Still as a matter of shock, during the last week of his bladder treatment Vishal suffered from severe lung infection in which blood was getting collected into his lungs and was getting drained through his nose. On facing all these consequences and unwanted delay in operation Vishal's mother suddenly got severe heart attack on 31 Aug 2021 where Dr suggested her urgent Bypass surgery with estimate of around 2 Lakhs. But due to the shortage of around 5 Lakhs in Vishal's treatment, his mother put her life at stake and requested to first get Vishal's operation done. Now, Dr Mavani has finally initiated the Plasma Therapy and heading for final transplant in the end of Sep 21 or 1st Week of Oct 21. Thereafter, the bypass surgery of her mother would be possible.

In view of the above negative consequences, struggle for money still doesnt end and became worse. So far, We have arranged and left with approx 08 lakhs presently and needs balance 5 lakhs for Vishal's transplant and 2 Lakhs for her mother's bypass surgery on urgent basis and then another 4 lakhs for post-operation medical/maintenance expenses for 01 year.
