Read below, story of my colleague, Vinitha, who is a strong, independent, and a loving human soul. She is managing the treatment and household expenses on her own. Let us come forward and help her!

“Even a ‘Thank you’ is a highest form of prayer you can make!” says a man who is a strong believer of God, My Father. I can no longer listen to him say this anymore, reason being he lost his speech as he underwent a ‘Laryngectomy’ surgery (complete removal of voice box) in April this year.
My dad was diagnosed with throat cancer because of excessive smoking. In the years past he underwent an angioblast from a massive heart attack because of stress. My dad smoked to cope with stress and hyper-tension. He finally decided to quit smoking in the year 2019 with sheer hope and faith, to live a peaceful life and for the sake of his family (wife a breast cancer patient). His efforts were relentless in attempting to quit smoking. Just when he liberated himself from smoking for a year, he partially began losing his voice gradually due to right vocal cord paralysis (part of vocal cord was numb) which slowly turned to a cancerous tumor.
For a year he suffered with vocal cord dysfunction coupled with Laryngitis (inflammation infection) and irritation. He was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer this April. The surgery was a success, however my dad can’t speak anymore. We did spend over 3.5 lakhs towards the complete treatment for my father.
Help comes in different ways but I firmly believe that help comes with sheer hope and faith as taught by my father. Therefore, I’m looking to raise 1.50 to help me pay of my loan at the earliest so that I could focus on taking care of my parent’s current medical conditions. Thank you and your help is much appreciated and valued.
