Hope you're doing well.
I'm a medical student studying at Government Vellore Medical College and this is a call for help to raise funds for the medical treatment of one of my classmate's father.
Gowthaman is currently studying in the third year in GVMC, Vellore. He is the eldest child in the family and has two younger siblings. His father works as a daily wager and considering that he's the only earning member of the family, their family's financial condition is not too good.
It has come to note to us that Gowthaman's dad has been admitted under ventilator support in the ICU for the past few days due to COVID. He is facing further complications including Renal Failure for which he is undergoing dialysis.
After confirming with the concerned doctors, it is understood that a lot of money is required in order to complete the course of treatment and considering that Gowthaman's family isn't too financially well off, this is an attempt to raise money for Gowthaman's father's medical care.
He is currently admitted at CMC Vellore. Per day, it costs 35,000 ₹ for the ICU facilities and an additional 5000 ₹ for dialysis. It is estimated that he would be spending about 15-18 days in the ICU and that would require around 7-8 lakhs. This is the bare minimum
