    This fundraiser will benefit

    Vijayalakshmi Tadepalli

    from Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Ms Vijayalakshmi Tadepalli, 63 years, single unmarried female who was spending her life in Varanasi, India for the past 2 years, suddenly fell sick. She was found paralytic from lower limbs with zero motor movement.
She is a known case of Ankylosing Spondylitis with severe osteoporosis from her younger days.
She was diagnosed with spinal cord injury with paraplegia bilateral pleural effusion. D10, D11 Laminectomy fracture of right-side 4th to 7th ribs.
She was moved from Varanasi to Hyderabad as Doctors advised surgery and there was minimal extended family support in Varanasi.
In Hyderabad, she was admitted in Surya Hospital, Boduppal where the doctors performed surgery
1.      D8-D9-D10-D11-D12-LI pedicle screw fixation.
2.      D10-D11 laminectomy
Doctors have informed that she will be immobile for the rest for her life and sadly be confined to bed and perhaps wheelchair and with zero sensation in lower limbs.
Post operation, she was advised rehabilitation and was admitted at Apokos jubilee hills, where in she further developed abscess in abdomen, which was later diagnosed as appendicitis and a laparoscopy surgery needs to be performed.
Ms Vijaya Lakshmi doesn’t have any insurance, savings of her own. Her extended family has been supporting her to meet the medical expenses. So far, the extended family has spent about INR 600,000 till date (28th Feb 2021).
The future expenses as seen are the laparoscopy surgery, rehabilitation for 6 months (at a minimum) and then her living expenses for her lifetime.
The rehabilitation expenses as quoted is about 60,000/- Rupees (INR) per month. This is towards her medical expenses, physiotherapy and nursing.
As extended family we are finding it difficult to manage funds for the treatment to keep it going.
We look forward to at least 50,00,000 INR so that we could keep the treatment going and pray that Ms. Vijayalakshmi Tadepalli recovers to the best possible.
