I am Preyansh Mitharwal and I am running this fundraising campaign to help my uncle (Mamaji) Vijay Pal to recover from a brain hemorrhage. Vijaypal is a 32-year-old man, a father of 3 and the sole breadwinner for his family of 5 and works as a daily wage labourer. When he came home this Makar Sankranti he complained of mild pain in the back of his neck. He thought of it as due to cold but he didn't know it will be life threatening and will turn his life upside down in a week. That mild pain was a minor brain stroke. As destiny awaited him, he suffered another major brain stroke within a week on 20th January. Suddenly his blood pressure rose to 270 and he fell unconscious. Fortunately, his brother was nearby and immediately shifted him to a hospital in Sikar, Rajasthan (Neuro Spine Super Speciality Hospital). There doctors put him on ICU immediately and conducted a few tests (MRI, CT scan) and confirmed that it was a severe brain hemorrhage (cerebellar). When his conditions did not improve in the next 24 hours, the doctors referred him to a bigger hospital in Jaipur (Narayana Multispeciality Hospital) on 21st January evening.

Vijay Pal was in a very critical situation when he was brought to Narayana Multispeciality Hospital, Jaipur. He was unconscious and not responding to sensory stimuli. He was admitted in ICU and doctors after conducting more tests recommended an urgent brain surgery to save his brain matter from more damage due to blood accumulation and oxygen deprivation. In the early hours of 22nd January, a team of doctors performed a complex 4 hours long brain surgery. The surgery was (partially) successful as in it saved Vijay Pal's life and prevented further damage to his brain cells but also left him with a muffled voice and several paralyzed body muscles including hands. Doctors have decided to keep Vijay Pal in ICU to monitor his conditions for the next week and have kept an option to operate on him again if they feel so and according to his recovery from the first surgery.

As of now, Vijay Pal continues to be in ICU and we will know in the next couple of weeks what fate awaits him. While Vijay Pal fights for his life, I have decided to help his family to not to worry about finances. They have already undergone a tremendous amount of pain already. This can only be possible if lots of kind-hearted people come together and help his family a bit. We would forever remain obliged to you if you could help us with the financial aid.
