My name is Ranjani and I am here to raise funds for my sister, Vidya, who is 45 years old. Vidya lives in Bengaluru, Karnataka with her spouse & 2 young children. She is a homemaker, a Bharatanatyam dancer and teacher.

Vidya has been recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer, and has just started treatment.

So far, we have spent over Rs.1 lac (about USD 1,500) only for the tests, and initiating treatment.

As of now, we need Rs. 12 lacs (about USD 18,000) more for further treatment. She has also had to discontinue her conducting dance classes because of her illness- this combined with lack of medical insurance coverage and her husband being in between jobs is adding to tremendous financial strain on her family.
