Once such family I know, that is financially distressed, so reaching out to each of you on this larger platform, to come forward and support them.

Venugopal, a person who had started working in Pune after his move from Kerala the only working member in the family. On the evening of 6th July 2020, while walking back home after work (8:30 pm), an Autorickshaw driver (who was drunk) rashly drove over him. 

The accident was so bad that Venugopal had severe bleeding and his skull was damaged to a major extent. He was rushed to the hospital where his treatment began. There were a series of operations that were done on him. Just as he was showing signs of improvement he was tested covid positive, which made the situation even worse. The treatment he required for recovery was delayed due to him being a covid patient, which has completely worsened the situation. 

Almost 6months now the situation is still isn’t any better. Being helpless and not seeing any signs of improvement, the family decided to move him back to Kerala. The family and friends tried reaching out to the government officials and many NGOs but received no help saying he belonged to a different state.

I am sure with our contribution, we can definitely provide some relief to this distressed family, atleast financially! to cover for the hospitalization. Funds are required for surgery as the patient requires VP shunt by mesh cranioplasty along with bedsore dressing.
