Nidhi V Barki 4 years daughter of Mr Venkatesh Barki, is diagnosed to have Gaucher Disease, which is rare genetic disorder. She requires lifelong enzyme replacement therapy with imiglucerase, which is given as an intravenous infusion once in every 2 weeks. Her current body weight is 10kg and as per the recommended dose for imiglucerase, she requires 3 vials of imiglucerase (400 U/vial) per month.
