Help Veena To Fight Cancer

My name is Sabyasachi Ghosh and I am here to raise funds for my relative Veena Sharma who is 40 years old. Veena lives in G56, Delta 2, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India - 201306 with her spouse, two children ( 7 yrs and 10 yrs old) and aged mother-in-law . Veena is House Wife and her husband, Pankaj Sharma had a small garment shop which has now closed as his wife's illness kept him away from his small business.

Veena is suffering from Non- Hodgkin's Lymphoma Cancer and also has her colostomy bag taken out from a previous surgery.

She had initial complaints of acute pain in stomach followed by uncontrolled vomiting and fecal incontinence. Her CT Scan revealed diffused bowel wall thickening and clumped up bowel loops in small intestine which led to Adhesiotysis surgery in May,2017 from BL Kapoor Super Speciality hospital, New Delhi. She was eventually given a colostomy bag attached to her stoma for collection of  human wastes externally. The post operation biospy further revealed CD 20 Positive T- Cell Lymphoma/  Non- Hodgkin's Lymphoma Cancer

She has already undergone several chemo sessions in GTB Hospital, Delhi and has been advised further high dose Chemotherapy sessions followed by Bone Marrow transplant in Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Center, New Delhi. This may give a new lease of life to Veena. She is  yet to be admitted but her family has no money left for followup treatments.

Until now, Veena's husband, Pankaj, has spent around Rs. 10,00,000 which he has managed to arrange from contributions from family and friends and his entire savings.

In the next 30 days, we need Rs.4,000,000.00 more for Chemo and Surgery. Please come forward to support my cause. Any contribution will be of immense help. Do contribute and share this campaign link with your friends and family. You can  contact Veena's husband, Pankaj SHARMA @ 9315085034 / 9910910986 for further updates.

Dear All,

We all know that Veena's campaign is closed now. We all tried our level best along with the Doctors to save a life, but we stood helpless in front of the inevitable and God's wish.

Veena's passing away has left the entire family is deep agony and anguish . A husband has lost his partner, two small kids have lost their mother and the whole family is faced with a huge void which can never be filled. The presence of a soul in everyone's life and the sudden departure without a possible return has shaken everyone down to the core. The grief is profusely overwhelming and has drained each one emotionally, mentally and physically.

There is a long road ahead for the kids who are yet to come to terms with the loss and to the reality that they are faced with. It's extremely difficult for them to accept such harsh realism at this tender age. They will be deprived of a mother's love , care and concern but with all our love , good wishes and  God's blessings the family will scale through the tough times. We have no other option but to wait for the TIME to take charge and focus on the controllable's that are at our disposal.

It is in this challenging times that the extended families of Veena and Pankaj, along with other relatives who were instrumental in collecting the funds for the campaign, have wished that, after donating a portion to the following campaigns ( as mentioned below) , the balance funds may kindly be transferred to the family of Veena in the registered account number in the Campaign.

Veena's husband, Pankaj and her mother-in -law , have decided to equally distribute  a major portion of the balance funds in the name of their two children and invest the same equally  in some SECURE FUNDS ( Kisan Vikas Patra or Postal MIS) which would help in their careers later in their life.

As a noble gesture to help other patients fight this dreaded disease of CANCER and to save their children from losing love of their guardians/dads/ moms, a portion of Veena's  Donation assemblage may be please be transferred to the following two running campaigns immediately :

  1. Mr. Dinesh Rakheja (  https://milaap.org/fundraisers/support-dinesh-rakheja) - Rs 5,000/-
  2. Mrs Anju Sinha (  https://milaap.org/fundraisers/help-2kids-mother-cancer  ) - Rs 5,000/-
It has been a overwhelming journey for all of us and we thank everyone for their generosity and benevolence in coming forward for such a Noble cause.

Dear All,
A big thanks to all whosoever has come forward with whatever means to help Veena ! It has been a very long journey and a battle too difficult to win. Veena finally succumbed to the disease today leaving behind all hopes of wining this battle against death. She fought valiantly till her last breath though her vital organs failed one after another. Her platelet count fell below normal though multiple transfusions happened through own sources ( relatives donated), her blood pressure fell below normal as she finally stopped taking any kind of food since last 2 days. She suffered unbearable pain in her whole body and finally breathed her last today during the wee hours at 2.34 AM.

She fought valiantly for 4 long years and all her Doctors at BL Kapoor Hospital( Delhi), GTB Hospital ( Delhi), Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Research Centre ( Delhi), AIIMS ( Delhi), Jaypee Hospital ( NOIDA) and Yatharth Multispeciality Hospital ( Greater NOIDA) did all that they could do to the best of their ability and medical expertise, but at last it was God's wish that had to be full-filled.

Our loving Veena has left for her Heavenly abode leaving behind her grieving family of 2 small kids, her very loving husband Pankaj and her widowed mother-in-law and all of us who always stood like a rock beside her in all her struggles. May the Almighty give enough strength to the family to bear such a huge loss and may Veena's soul rest in peace in Heaven and shower her blessings on her kids from there.

Veena's entire family stands indebted to all her supporters who had come forward to help her in any way possible...with money, with luck, with good wishes and prayers ! The family also expresses their gratitude towards Milaap, who are doing a tremendous job by helping poor patients and families by way of giving a platform of crowdfunding for the betterment of the society and helping willing people to stand beside the needy and poor in times of their dire need. Success and failures are a part of life in a world where God has the ultimate control on all proceedings, but doing good "karma" is in the hands of lesser mortals like us who can make this world a better place to live in.

Dear All,
We all thank each one of you who has contributed for Veens's treatment.

But despite all efforts, this lockdown and Covid times is posing the greatest of challenges to fight the Cancer which has come uninvited into Veena.
There is some not so good news here !

Veena's condition has been deteriorating.  There were challenges for continuing with the 3rd chemo in this lock-down and corona pandemic time. Hospitals never allowed without a quarantine period and doctors themselves went under quarantine. State Borders  with UP and Delhi are sealed . AIIMS, Delhi is itself a covid centre now. NOIDA hospitals had their own issues fighting Corona.

However, Veena has been shifted to Yatharth Super Speciality Hospital in Greater NOIDA now. She is in CCU and stable. Her platelet count was low, and Potassium levels had fallen. Platelets is being administered alongwith other medications. She is recovering !

She will need longer periods in the hospital and treatments which are expensive to keep alive.  She is VERY BRAVE and knows how to fight  ! She needs our support and prayers !!
