I am here to raise funds for a friends mother. Mrs Uma Devi who is 65 years old. She is a widowed pensioner who lost her husband and a daughter in the last few years.

She received a knee replacement surgery at BIRRD Hospital, Tirupati a few years ago. The knee replacement did not go well and has gotten infected multiple times. Arthroscopy was performed a few times, but the infection persisted. The failed doctors at BIRRD gave up and referred her to Apollo Hospitals in Chennai. She needs the infected artificial knee to be removed with a follow up surgery to get a new one.
