India is undergoing a severe second wave of Covid-19 and the situation on the ground is dire. Oxygen is critically required to treat patients affected with Covid-19, however there is a severe shortage of oxygen across hospitals in India. We are trying to bridge this gap and provide the most critical component to save lives along with other medical support such as medicines, oximeters, doctor consultations, etc to the needy. We aim to also create a data base of genuine plasma donors, which can be useful in case needed by a critically ill patient. We are trying to save maximum lives through these initiatives.
How will my donation help?
- Your donation will be used to purchase oxygen cylinders, concentrators and other medical essentials to treat Covid positive patients who may not be able to afford these.
- Together we can make a difference and save lives.
We understand that these are difficult times for all of us, which is why you may decide to donate as little as you can or as much as you can. We assure you that every rupee donated by you will be used to for the treatment of the needy. We are a 100% not-for-profit organisation and we provide utmost transparency from the disbursement of funds, to exact utilisation, to distribution, etc.
What has Uplift Foundation done till now to fight Covid-19 till date?
We have been working on ground since last 1 year and have extensively distributed more than 1 million face masks in various slums across Mumbai, Thane, Kalyan, Bhiwandi, Virar, etc.
We also distributed hand sanitisers across slums as well as to healthcare and sanitation workers in and around Mumbai and Pune.
We believe that education is the key to curtail the spread of Covid-19 and hence conducted sessions to educate the slum dwellers about the hygiene to be maintained to keep themselves and the surroundings free from Covid-19.
