I am Anhad Goyal, a resident of Gurugram, Haryana and a student at Bishop Cotton School. Given the unusual times, just like everyone else, I wanted to step out of my comfort zone too and add value to those around me. Thus I took the step of providing support to those who are unable to buy face masks during this pandemic.
The fact that this deadly virus has wreaked havoc is not new to us. In India, the cases have already crossed 8 million and each day the number is only growing. What can we do? Wear masks! That is the only vaccine we have right now and must use it to our advantage.
“No-one has ever become poor by giving” These words by Anne Frank have always resonated with me. So to control and help the people affected by the virus, I have decided to launch Project Assistance. Along with Project Bagiya, I aim to raise funds and provide a free reusable mask to anyone who can’t afford to buy it otherwise. These masks will be stitched by unemployed women who will in turn generate new opportunities for themselves. Thus, the aim of the project is to solve two problems: Unemployment and preventing the spread of Covid in whichever way we can.
I sincerely look forward to your support. Together we can!
