Hi, I'm Jhanvi Raghav and I'm a student at Scottish High International School. Every month each and every women and girl go through a cycle called the menstruation cycle or even called periods. Women need to do proper sanitation when they go through this cycle and as the studies show 88% of women and girls in India are using homemade alternatives, such as old cloth, rags, hay, sand, or ash for menstruation. We have taken a step to stop this and introduce them to healthier substitutes. Roughly 120 million menstruating adolescents in India experience menstrual dysfunctions, affecting their normal daily chores. Nearly 60,000 cases of cervical cancer deaths are reported every year from India, two-third of which are due to poor menstrual hygiene.
Through my community service, I would like to empower underprivileged women with proper sanitation, and help end this suffering, and try to help as many women and girls as I can.
I request you all to donate generously and end this suffering. Even a small donation can help these women.
