Umabai has cancer. Umabai underwent surgery 3 weeks ago for a cancerous tumour and the biopsy reports now confirm that it's malignant. She needs to undergo a CT scan to check the spread of the disease and how far it's advanced. Medical oncologists have suggested a line of treatment that will require at least 6 cycles of chemo at the outset. The medication costs Rs.1600/- per 10 tablets and she will need more than 80+ tablets for this chemo cycle alone. Plus blood tests, scans and other treatments based on doctors' prognosis.  All of this is an additional cost to what she and her family have already spent thus far and poses an additional financial stress. 

We have raised Rs.79,850/- through Milaap in 23 days, with very generous contributions from friends from all over the world. We have decided to extend the fundraising campaign by 7 days to Nov 10, 2019. The target of Rs.1 lakh has still to be met.
