In this testing times, the sting of Covid-19 is mortal and beyond the threshold of our understanding. Dreams remain unaccomplished, success seems a farfetched soul, and HOPE remains the only lighthouse in our ever turbulent lives.
Covid-19 has posed an unimaginable, uncomprehending void in our lives and has specially challenged the marginalized beings, women in particular. This is a tale of one such a woman for whom hope is the only way out of the darkness of gloom and despair.
The tale is of a woman (Rajani) who has two sons. She stays with her mother., the husband remains oblivious to the situation and does help her in her finances. She is a B.SC graduate. In 2019 she got an opportunity to work in Kolkata but couldn’t take the most of the opportunity due to Covid norms and regulations. She lost the job. The eldest son somehow got enrolled in a school and was in class 7 last year. The younger son, who is 10 year of age, is yet to go to school. We got illuminated of the heart wrenching tale as she had to vacate her rented house due to overdue of payment; the house was rented by her husband.
The woman is talented and knows to stich and paint besides being a science graduate. We took action to rekindle the light of hope in her as below
*A rented accommodation was arranged.
*Admission of her sons to an established institution was arranged.
After paying a rent, it becomes difficult for her to meet the other needs of the household wherein an aged mother and two sons she has to look after. Needless to mention she has barely left to meet both ends. She remains hopeful and tries to earn from wherever her hands lays on be it stitching or painting.
We need a sponsorship of Rs 80,000 for paying education fees and other educational expenses for her sons for two years.
We humbly request to all the kind hearts- lets come forward and help the people who are deprived of their needs and are earnestly looking to you with open hands in desire of being accepted. Please give a chance to prove themselves, and in wake of writing their success story only by holding the hand of opportunity that you are going to bestow upon them through this simple gesture of sponsoring their education.
Let’s become that HOPE where humanity thrives.
