While we have been fortunate and blessed with all kinds of electronic devices such as laptops, tablets, and smartphones to use and operate with on a daily basis, there are many children belonging to the underprivileged communities- who do not have access to any of these devices. This has posed a major hindrance to their learning, as even those students who might have smartphones with a 1 GB per day data plan are unable to transition from a fully blown classroom to a tiny little box in the name of a phone.

The need of the hour is not only to send these children YouTube links and pre recorded sessions but to also ensure it’s smooth delivery. As there is massive amount of content available to students online- but the lack of a properly functional device makes it cumbersome for them to learn and has already led to humongous Learning Gaps.

I along with their current fellow Tushar have identified 26 of my previously taught students from the Shaheed Anusuya Senior Secondary Boys school in Dakshinpuri, New Delhi who either have No device to learn from or are using a phone to educate themselves (mostly sharing the phone with their parents- which makes it difficult for them to learn or access online classes when their parents leave for work along with the phone).

So if YOU are someone who believes an opportunity to learn is every child's right- irrespective of their background, please allow me to have the honour of helping your generosity reach these innocent young learners- who are deprived of receiving quality education for no fault of theirs. The smallest contribution matters, what could be one fancy meal at a restaurant for you could help a child get closer to a fair Opportunity to learn.

(With the funds collected, we will be purchasing Tablets for these students which will provide them an opportunity to access online classes and content- bringing us a step closer to eliminating education inequalities)
