We are here to talk about trees and people. We are a registered environment NGO working towards a-forestation by way of macro scale Tree Plantation in Maharashtra. Our core focus is to work towards reducing the Carbon Footprints by way of planting native Indian trees like Neem, Peepal, Banyan (Vad), Umbar, Kashid, Tamarind, Bamboo etc. known for their properties of purifying the atmosphere and creating clean breathing air.
As you might be aware of, the Nisarg Cyclone has hit our Konkan region very badly. Lives and livelihood of people are affected to a great extent. The nature of farming in this region makes the recovery even more difficult and costlier. The farmers would require long-term support in order to rebuild their farms and local ecosystem. A detailed presentation with effects, challenges and proposed solutions is attached for your reference.
