Story

A severe second wave of COVID-19 is sweeping across India and the country’s healthcare system is overwhelmed. The number of new cases are Crossing more than a few lacs  every day and the
The mortality rate is also peaking up.
In the villages of UP, the situation is very bad and unimaginable, especially in absence of on-the-spot support kije cities. The administration is supporting and helping a lot but more NGOs are required to step the support.  The villages do have primary health care centers, but Lack of Covid symptom knowledge, etc, and the absence of trained doctors or nurses is also a current problem in the pandemic.

The district hospitals, are bursting on seams and in serious cases, distances are far off, and with elementary hospital infrastructure facility, they are now overburdened with the influx of serious patients.
Mubarakpur, in Azamgarh, is a small village famous for Benaras Handloom sarees, the craft of handloom weaving is 400 years old but the weavers have been exploited for ages and do not have the means to support them in a day to day life. The pandemic since last year and the lockdowns have resulted in very poor economic activity and a major loss in household earnings. But
this year the Covid-19  which was not reaching and impacting the villages has created havoc in the health of young and old.
ITRHD is planning to set up a 25 bed  Covid care center in Bunkar Bhawan Mubarakpur for mild and moderate cases.
The center will be set up with the approval of local administration and following the guidelines of central and state Govt. The medical tie-up will be through known set up for such activity, and or a nursing home cum hospital from Benaras. One doctor and 5 nurses will be engaged to look after the medical need of Covid patients.
It's proposed to need a base center in an existing building lying vacant.

India and her villages like Mubarakpur need help right away and many people around the world are asking how can we help!
So we want to raise money and quickly set up a fully furnished  Covid care center in Mubarakpur with beds, toilets, food catering, medicines, doctor visits, nurses round the clock etc for mild/ moderate cases with all the requirements for a Covid-19 Care centre and with additional facility of 4 oxygen cylinders and 6 oxygen concentrator  for emergency use and till hospital arrangements are made  of serious patients.

Please donate whatever amount you can. As these villagers have woven such beautiful sarees in the past which has draped many beautiful women, yesterday they were part of our very beautiful memories, Today they need our support, compassion, help, money to weave the future.

#These contributions are small drops in the ocean as these are very populous villages living in congested homes with large families but every Indian old and young has a  right to medication, health support, and to LIFE.

You can contribute by sharing this in your circle or maybe running a support campaign.

Please join us in this fight by donating generously for this cause and spreading the word among your friends and relatives. Together, We Can Serve Better!

Utilization Of Funds-

1. Covid Care soft infrastructure, furniture, beds, pillows, sheets, covers curtains, medical cabinet, doctors room, PPE kits (10 per day ), electricity, water, catering, housekeeping, consumables, disposables, medicines, etc will cost Rs 15 Lacs.
In addition jumbo oxygen cylinders 6 numbers and 6 oxygen  Concentrators of 5L capacity, thermo guns, pulse oximeters etc may cost Rs 6.5 lacs.
That is only for 25 patients for 14 days. To run the centre for 1 to 1.5 months , at the same capacity additional cost will be Rs 12.5 lacs.
Hence in phase 1 of CCC , Rs 30 lakhs need to be mobilised.
ITRHD has provided pulse oximeters , oxygen cy and gas, masks , trained in health and hygiene habits
Being an NGO it is not possible for us to take any humanitarian project with out external support at this scale
I won't call it to be a story
But to set up Covid Care Centres today in villages or towns of UP is a must to avoid mortality and reduce further load on families of poverty 8n the event if death of bread earners
The centre in later lull stages of pandemic will also act as a vaccination centre and money thus raised,  and , if not consumed fully, can be used for procurement of vaccination and the centre can start the vaccination  process , as and when vaccinations are available in open market.
No resources or infrastructure will be wasted.
We do not need malls, wedding banquet, community hall, we need up and running Covid Care Centre in Mubarakpur, Azamgarh***
