Idea Relief Committee Trust, Maharashtra (IRCT) is an association of volunteers doing disaster management and relief work during times of crisis. In this pandemic, it has a tie-up with Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, the organization which is leading the management of Dedicated Covid Health Center (DCHC) in Nagpur.
How the organization is helping as relief work:
With the help of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and Medical Service Society (MSS), Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) has set up a 78-bed hospital in Nagpur on 01 Apr 2021. This DCHC is giving FREE OF COST services to its patients. Since day one of its operations, there has been a constant inflow of patients, and is running on full occupancy.
Hell broke loose in our country with the onset of the Second Wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. The medical infrastructure is overburdened and stretched beyond its capacity. In such times, close ones are running away from each other due to the fear of Covid infection. The last rites of dead bodies are being done by a separate team. The treatment cost has skyrocketed as the private doctors and hospitals are charging 3 to 4 times their normal fee. People are using their life savings and some are selling their assets just to get a bed in the hospital for treatment.
In these circumstances, the volunteers of JIH are working day and night, 24x7 to serve the patients FREE OF COST at DCHC. The team comprises 50 Doctors, Nurses, and Paramedic Staff and around 24 volunteers. They are driven by a strong desire to serve humanity. In this holy month of Ramadan, under conditions of fasting, battling hunger and thirst, putting themselves in the frontline, and risking their lives just to keep this hospital up and running.

Utilization of funds
The funds are utilized to pay the salaries of Medical Staff which include Doctors, Nurses, Ward Boys and cleaning staff, Surgical Consumable and equipment & Medicines, stationaries, office requirements, etc.
