To educate socially and financially challenged rural students

    from Alur, Karnataka

80G tax benefits for INR donations

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. It allows those from less fortunate backgrounds to build a life, stand out amongst the rest and rise above. Recognizing this need, the Panchakroshi School(PSPM), Nangnur  awards scholarships to 110 socially and economically backward students each year in grade 8,9 and 10. These students come with an aspiration to get a superior quality education and PSPM helps them achieve their dream.

This crowd funding initiative is a campaign by the Panchkroshi vidyalaya, its well wishers  and Alumni Back to School Campaign We are raising funds for 110 children from amongst the lowest income households from remote rural villages in and around Nangnur, Alur and hukkeri tahsil in Karnataka to be enrolled in Panchkroshi school. Over 90% of kids at PSPM come from families earning less than 8000 rupees a month - or just over USD1/day per person, incomes well below the poverty line. These families have been hit extremely hard by Covid-19, losing loved ones and jobs, spending too much on medical costs, falling prey to despair, and dropping out of school.
Panchkroshi school urgently needs help to continue to provide education to 110 students who cannot pay their fees because of Covid-19. Without immediate assistance, many students - especially girls - will drop out and will never return. They will be forced into child labor and early marriage, and subjected to violence and abuse. Instead, with your help, they can go back to school and realize their dreams.
The average cost of educating a child is 10,000 rupees for a year.
