The daily wage workers and artisans in Tamilnadu are not just out of work and earnings but are now running out of food.
As a small business owner, I get products made from these workshops and set-ups but since work is closed, there is no earning for these workers and their families are not getting any support. In fact, this entire area has not received any help.
In light of this, we are getting food packets (10-kilo flour, 3-kilo rice, sugar, dal, salt, cooking oil and soap) made for as many people there as we can and handing them out from the workshop. However, funds are running quite low and we need your support to feed these families.
Each food packet costs around INR 1100 (wholesale store owners have started increasing prices too) and we would be grateful if you could help us feed as many of them as possible. One food packet would last 10-12 days (15 on a stretch) for these families.
We are trying not just to feed our artisans and workers but all that we can in the area since there is no government support reaching here.
Request your support to chip in for these workers. We will share a report with photo and name and details of the beneficiaries (we are ensuring no double allocation of food packets happens so that we can maximize the number of families getting the benefit).
