For the containment of the virus, the government has called for a complete lockdown across the country. Today it is the people in the essential services, especially the health care workers who continue to work tirelessly under extreme circumstances day and night to fight this virus on the frontline.
The P.R.I.D.E. India has been working in the Osmanabad district for providing quality health services to the rural poor for the last twenty-three years. SPARSH hospital (supported by P.R.I.D.E. India), its 3 Mobile Medical Units and a well-coordinated network with the community are ensuring patients have access to institutional health services and support even in interiors.
Due to the suspension of local transportations, the remote villages are completely cut off making them inaccessible to any facilities. For the prevention of COVID-19 and reaching out to the elderly and women, our Mobile Medical Units continues to provide health services at the doorstep, identifying suspected coronavirus cases and referring them to its SPARSH Rural Hospital and the nearby government hospitals.
Also, with the increasing need, a 10 bedded isolated ward and a separate OPD for the screening of suspected coronavirus patients has been initiated in SPARSH hospital.
We appeal to you to contribute selflessly to support these health warriors and our initiatives towards reducing the spread of COVID-19. We welcome any assistance, monetary, in-kind towards the cause.
