My name is Nripraj Bhati, and I live in a small village in Jaisalmer district which is about 50km from the Pakistan border. For the last 3 years, there has been continuous famine in the village. The literacy rate of the village is only 30%, with the average salary of an individual being INR 10K only. Recently, 31 people have tested positive for the COVID in the village today, and more than 100 people are reporting fever and other symptoms.
In the last 3 days, 2 people have died due to corona. In our survey, more than 100 people are getting fever and other symptoms. We have isolated all of them in a government school. The health center in the village is not well equipped, and the people are in miserable condition.
In pursual to this, I would like to bring it to attention that the head of the village (sarpanch) is from my family; and we are doing as much as we can for the village at our personal level. The Gram Panchayat has not been allocated any budget by the state government, and our personal funds are insufficient for tackling this crisis.
I am asking you to help us as much as you can at your level, with which we can provide food, medicines, masks, and adequate healthcare facility to the people. Full transparency will be adopted in spending the donations you make. The entire expense will be sent to you with the photo of the person being assisted.
