My husband and I have been living in delhi for over 15 years. We live here with multiple dogs - whenever we are asked why we have no kids, we are shocked and we reply - but we do have kids. They are just our pets.

 Offlate the new trend of buying pets has been on the rise in the city. People then realise they cannot take care of the dogs/want to travel and cant take care of the pets and they just leave. Our neighbours actually left their dog in their house and relocated to USA, with the instructions to their servant to come to the house once a day and feed the pet. Sadly, Bruno passed before we found out within a month's time.

 Another incident happened with me when I was looking for a cab at the airport. This cute little puppy girl wearing a sweater in the cold delhi winter was running around the people, looking for someone to take her. She was clearly abandoned. We took her home, fostered her until we found her a forever home.

We want to take this further as the stories keep coming and we are regularly fostering over 3-4 dogs at a time. We need a bigger space which can host fosters, pay for their treatments, help them find forever homes.

Our domesticated dogs dont have it in them to survive on the streets. They usually die out of depression and no loving animal needs to be treated like this. Please help us raise these funds which will help us rent a bigger space where the dogs can live, and stay happily until they find their forever home. Lets not let the worst humans define and kill humanity.
