Hi! I am Tanmay. And I recently got selected in my dream college at NID Jorhat, Assam. I belong to a financially weaker family and had to migrate to Pune from Yewatmal for better education. Living in a city was hard, even then my parents managed to send me to a low-income private school. Financial problems always made things harder for us to manage. Being a Teach For India(TFI) student I knew that even if I face challenges I cannot stop but work harder. Not having the financial support did cut-off my access to the best resources; but I am always grateful for whatever I have. I make 100% use of all the resources that are available to me. I decided to pursue designing as a career and passion in my 9th grade. I was completely on my own. A self-taught artist walking his own journey. I dreamt of being a designer even when I knew I would face challenges. I did receive a lot of help from some wonderful teachers of mine. I worked hard for 2 years and finally got into NID Jorhat.
I still have to manage the cost for the fees and other expenses. My expenses for the year consists of the fees for 2 semesters, travel, living expenses(hostel and mess), device(laptop), my art supplies and books for my studies. We are a family of four which includes me, my mother, my father and an elder brother. My father is a supervisor at a construction company and earns about 10 k a month. My mom is a housewife and my brother is a part timer at a sports shop. All the money that comes in the house gets used up in the house expenses or my brother's education. With this situation my family is barely able to save any money for my education. My father is already paying off some loans and taking some additional loan seems impossible for him to pay back. Hence the only option for me to raise this amount is through this fundraiser. Hence I reach out to you all for help. Please lend me your helping hands.
The expenses are as follows:-
1)2 Semester fees:- 1,03,625 + 93,625 = 1,97,250 INR
2) Travel- 10,000 TO 12,000 INR (approx.)
3)Hostel + Mess charges for every semester- 30,000 x 2 = 60,000 (max according to other NIDs)
4) Cost of Books and Art supplies :- 30,000 every year(approx.)
5) Cost of a device(Laptop/Tablet):-40,000(approx.)
Total cost:- 3,39,250 INR.

These are the minimum expenses that I have to pay. The total cost comes up to 3,39,250 INR. And after utilizing the money for everything, if there is any amount remaining I will surely use it for buying necessary items for my studies or paying off my exam fees. I know this is a huge amount; my parents are doing as much as they can and I believe that with some more help it will be easier for me to manage the expense. Your smallest contribution will be my greatest help. Please help me get into my dream college. Also it will be really great help if you could share this fundraiser with anyone who can contribute towards my cause. Any kind of help is deeply appreciated.
