Syed Issaq, a 65 year old daily wage worker saved up money over years and was running a library consisting of more than 11000 books and subscription of 16 dailies to help promote education and the habit of reading books for kids and adults at Rajiv Nagar. He's taken up a spot mostly used to dump garbage and turned it into a thriving green space with plants, seating space, shade and thousands of books to help people access the joy of reading. He's also been promoting Kannada and is a huge fan of Dr Rajkumar & Dr BR Ambedkar. His library used to boast of 3000 copies of Bhagwath Geeta and 1500 copies of Quran along with many books promoting peace and love among everyone. All of it has been destroyed in a fire, accidental or intentional is yet to be ascertained. But Issaq's hope of rebuilding it is unwavering.
