    This fundraiser will benefit

    Underprivileged students in Nagaland

    from Dimapur, Nagaland

Dear all,

My name is Sweety Kashung Shimray currently pursuing my Masters in Italy. I am starting this fundraiser for my friend Sentikala Lemtur who is a teacher in Dimapur, a small town in Nagaland, India. She works for the organisation called The Builders who partners with various schools in Nagaland to provide life skills and value educations. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation in India, education has taken a toll on everyone all over the country with students having to adapt to online classes. It is not easy for students to get the privilege of technology in our state. Every day she comes across so many students who are unable to attend online classes because of the financial and technological hindrance. All we can do is try our best in every possible ways to ensure they have the access.
My friend and I are trying to raise funds to purchase 15 smartphones/tablets for the less privileged students. A basic smartphone that can support Zoom application cost between ₹5,000-₹6,000. Each contribution is important to us. As we start getting more funds, we can provide to more students.

We would be extremely grateful if you could extend your help to ensure these young students are able to attend classes online.
