I am Jitin Gulati father of Swayam Gulati (13 Years) reaching out to ask for your support in a time of need. Swayam is currently facing a second time relapsed cancer that requires immediate attention and treatment.

Unfortunately, the means to treat this in India has been exhausted & we have to look for options in Singapore for CAR-T Therapy. The commercial program costs between 300k-500k USD plus stay in Singapore adding another 50k-70k USD for an year. The costs associated with this treatment are beyond my means.

Since June 2018 we have been fighting this battle with all available funds & courage. I am humbly asking for your help in the form of a donation. Any amount, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated and will go towards covering the costs of my medical expenses.

June 2018 – Leukemia Diagnosed
It was when Swayam (9 Years) was first diagnosed with Leukemia. After almost two and a half years of fighting this serious ailment, Swayam was able to beat cancer. His childhood came back but good times did not last for long. Just a week before his birthday in 2022, we were informed that his blood cancer has relapsed.

Mar 2022 – First Relapse
The sky fell on us and we did not know what to do. Somehow we gathered courage and once again Swayam bravely started his frequent visits to the hospital, numerous long stays and endless needle pokes. But this time it was different and difficult. He was not responding to the chemotherapy. Doctors tried different treatment protocols to control the disease but in vain. The cancer was more aggressive than before.

June 2022 - Bone Marrow Transplant
We kept praying whenever a bone marrow test was done and waited eagerly for the result but the cancer was stubborn. Finally, he was taken on Targeted therapy or immunotherapy. The drugs are not available in India, we managed to import the required quantity. The therapy worked and we once again saw a ray of hope. Immediately after the bone marrow test showed remission, Stem cell transplant was performed. The results were coming good, his old life was coming back but God had different plans.

Jan 2023 – Second Relapse
In less than six months from stem cell transplant, the cancer relapsed for the second time. We did not know what to do. We have consulted many oncologists, the treatment which can help my kid now in the long term is CAR-T therapy.

CAR-T is a form of immunotherapy where T cells from the patient are taken, genetically engineered in the lab and infused back to fight the specific cancer cells. This therapy is however not available in India yet. Since 2018, we have exhausted all our resources on medical treatment. and are not in a position to pay for this therapy. This therapy has a success rate of 9/10 cases but comes at a high cost.

I understand that these are difficult times for many, and I would not be asking for help if the situation were not dire. I thank you in advance for your generosity and support.

I humbly request to contribute generously and save my son.
