    This fundraiser will benefit

    Stray animals

    from Mumbai, Maharashtra

Hi all,

My name is swapneel and I along with my sister have been looking after stray animals for more than 5 years. We do the following activities for their welfare:

1. Feeding

As you are aware there are millions of animals fighting for their survival on roads, we help them by feeding them on a daily basis at least one meal a day. Currently, we feed more than 50 dogs a day and look after them.

2. Spay and Neuter:

Spaying and neutering are one of the most important things any welfare organization should do. Spaying makes animals population under control and reduces human and animal conflict. The current cost of spaying a dog cost around at least 1700 at the local government centre. Alternatively, people can call bmc helpline number but they don't and the population of animals on roads keeps on increasing.

3. Medication

Many animals on the road don't receive treatment and die in agony on road. We provide them with basic medication which provides them with a helping hand for survival. We also admit them in the hospital whenever necessary. The number of such cases keeps on rising and thus the cost of helping them rises too abundantly.

4. Fostering

Injured animals sometimes require home care to enable them to recover. We bring them home and provide them with roof and rest which help them recover faster.

5. Vaccination:

Vaccination for stray animals is important for our country where the cases of deaths due to rabies keep on rising. We arrange for camps with local NGOs and vaccinate them thereby reducing the risk of humans contracting a deadly disease like rabies and also protecting animals from being exposed to this deadly virus.

6, Current rescue

We found this cat now named JUMBO while on our feeding rounds, his leg was cut and his bone was exposed, we later also found a hole near his ear with maggots,  we gave him first aid but somehow knew that if left there he wouldn't survive so v arranged for a basket and got him home..the next day he was taken to the vet and amputation has been suggested...right now he is on antibiotics and pain killers but we need funds for his operation and post-op care..post which We will release him back and check on him..Jumbo doesn't like to stay indoors and misses his home..please help Jumbo get better faster
