My friend's family is going through extremely distressing times. Her father has been covid+ve for around 20 days and his health is continuously deteriorating. He's a diabetic and fighting severe covid pneumonia post covid. The severity of his lung infection requires prolonged medical intervention and bipap support. In the past week, my friend had to change 3 hospitals as the first 2 hospitals ran out of oxygen supply, every transportation required an ambulance with bipap and oxygen supply and every hospital prescribed expensive medications and multiple repeated tests. This journey has been long and exhausting as my friend's brother was previously admitted and her mother is also covid +ve. The required medical care and intervention needed at this moment is directly dependent on the continuous flow of financial assistance. Due to the pandemic her father’s business had come to a halt last year and he does not have any source of running income at present. They have already exhausted around 20 lakhs on her family's treatment and whatever is left will not be enough to take care of her father's treatment completely.
